In the past, almost all the people who started increasing their degrees of realself did not know that the realself, realself-to-realself relationships, and realself life exist. These people were drawn forward by their wakening realselves, but consciously they didn’t have any idea what was ahead of them ontologically.

Who’s This Blog For?
February 23rd, 2010 · No Comments
It may be obvious, but in case it isn’t the main reason for this blog is to help make humankind less alienated ontologically and eventually to end our ontological alienation completely.
In working toward that goal, The Ontological War is concerned with two main groups. The first group is made up of ontological sensitive people, and [...]

Ann: “All I’ve been thinking about all week is garbage”
February 7th, 2010 · No Comments
On first hearing about them, some ontologically insensitive people may think that the socialself is the same as the realself, only a little deeper. This is not true. The two selves are structured differently, and because of their different structures they perceive themselves and all of human life and existence in different ways. The socialself [...]

Who We Are Ontologically Determines Where We Live
February 5th, 2010 · No Comments
The ontological world each of us lives in is determined by our degree of realself: those of us who are being mostly if not almost entirely our socialselves live in the socialself world, and those of us who are sensitive to our realselves live in ontological worlds that are made up of more of the [...]

Ontological Alienation Can Be Both Good and Bad, Part 1
January 11th, 2010 · No Comments
On first reading this blog, some people will see the tags “Good Alienation” and “Bad Alienation” and wonder how alienation can ever be both good and bad. Common sense tells us that alienation is always wrong, simply because of what it is: We should not be alienated from life, from reality, or from ourselves and [...]

The Journey Begins, Yet Again
December 24th, 2009 · No Comments
I’m going to start posting again. Many important and controversial subjects are ontological at their foundation, and since no one else seems to be discussing these subjects from an ontological perspective I’ve decided I should.
Part of the reason for my not posting is that I keep thinking that I should explain in detail everything that [...]

DH Lawrence’s “Something is wrong” Quote
May 24th, 2007 · No Comments
The following excerpt from an autobiographical sketch by DH Lawrence is probably my favorite passage of any I have ever read. Lawrence was sometimes described as “maladjusted,” but what this passage actually shows, at least to the ontologically insightful, is that he was sensitive enough to know that human existence is unacceptably wrong and needs [...]

The Four Main Ontological Groups of People
December 13th, 2006 · No Comments
As one goes through life, listening to what others say and reading what they have written, one sees that most people fall into one of four groups when they are judged by their ontological sensitivity and insight.
The first group, which is probably the largest, is made up of people who are not sensitive ontologically. It [...]

What Are “Degrees of Being”?
December 5th, 2006 · No Comments
Someone asked me what “degrees of being” are, and the best way to describe them is to show them in action—to show them as a person actually experiences them.
(A short definition of “degrees of being” is in the Glossary above, and much more on degrees of being is in Being and Life . Also, in [...]

The Two Main Reasons for This Blog
December 2nd, 2006 · No Comments
I started this blog for several reasons, but there are two main ones. The first is to show many of the ways that ontological emotions and ideas are expressed, discussed, and fought over in day-to-day life. These emotions and their ideas are passionately debated, but very few people are conscious of their own realself’s (being’s) [...]
